Wildlife Ponds

Water in any guise is a sure fire way to attract wildlife, however if your sole aim is to bring in as many animals into your garden, water is the key. A well designed wildlife pond can be a real asset in the garden. Wildlife ponds do not generally have pumps in them and the result is perfectly still water. On calm days it will reflect the sky in all its states from cloudy or perfectly blue to sunsets and sunrises. A pond can give you the opportunities to grow a whole different range of plants all of which will give cover, shelter and food to a myriad of creatures from frogs to dragonflies. Wildlife ponds do not usually contain fish as these will polish off your tadpoles. As a result of no fish, the water will remain crystal clear and negates the need for high maintenance filters and pumps
